Meet the Trustees

The strategy and affairs of Kinross Curling Trust is directed by a Board of Trustees, the composition of which is up to eight members elected as Trustees by members and up to one Trustee appointed by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club (RCCC). In addition, up to three further Trustees may be co-opted by the Board of Directors if they have particular skills that the Board feel would be valuable.

There are currently 7 elected Trustees.

With previous board and chairman experience with Transport Scotland and BEAR Scotland, I joined the KCT board in 2019. I originally served as Operations Director, and, for the last 4 years, as Chairman.

I am a member of Inverkeithing and Aberdour, and I play play in the seniors league. As a qualified coach, I enjoy introducing our sport to all ages through Try Curling sessions.

Buildings Group

I joined the Board in 2024 and lead the Buildings Group. This group plan and manage work to the building, plant and outside areas. I am also working with the Office Manager, Angela, on a new website and booking system to be in place for the 2026-27 season.

I have been curling at Kinross for over 35 years as a member of both Fossoway and Glenfarg curling clubs, and also take part in other rink competitions. Have served on various committees, and am currently President of Area 10.

For years my family ran a news agency in Perth which also was a hot food carry out. My experience within a catering environment was what I brought to the board, having knowledge of hygiene procedures and food preparation. Therefore having curled for over 40 years, I can appreciate what players want from both sides of the counter.

I joined the Board in 2022, and provide a direct link to the Kinross Junior club, supporting youth development and opportunities. I also sit on the KCT Building Group, which is key now that we own the freehold of the rink.

I am still an active curler, playing in regional and national competitions. This provides engagement with and insight into other curling rinks across the country, allowing me feedback opportunities where we can improve the curling experience in Kinross.
